Matt Mordini
Matt started dancing in 2009 and began teaching in 2012. He is a well known and highly respected member of the Chicago swing dance community, where he has spent years helping dancers of all backgrounds discover the joy of movement, connection, and social dance.

For Matt, dance is about much more than learning steps. He believes dancing is a healthy way to connect with your body, become more aware of how you move, and build genuine connection with the people you dance with. His teaching focuses on creating an environment where dancers can learn, challenge themselves, have fun, and feel comfortable growing at their own pace.

Matt has taught lessons, led dances, and given presentations and retreats for youth, college students, young adults, couples, and dancers throughout Chicago and around the country. He especially enjoys working with newer dancers and helping people who may not initially consider themselves “natural” dancers gain confidence and discover that they really can dance.
Whether you are brand new to West Coast Swing or looking to deepen your connection, musicality, and movement, Matt brings years of experience, a welcoming teaching style, and a genuine passion for helping people connect through dance.
